Obituary of Mary Ann J. Kozachenko
MaryAnn J. Kozachenko, born in Queens, NY, May 2, 1943, passed away peacefully August 1, 2024, at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly, NJ. She was 81 years old. She was a resident of Willingboro, NJ for 50 years until relocating to Columbus, NJ in 2018, to live with her daughter, son-in law and her twin grandchildren. She worked for the township of Willingboro early on and then was an Administrative Assistant at Lippincott, Jacobs and Gouda Engineering of Riverside, NJ, for almost 30 years before retiring.
MaryAnn was a devout NY Yankees fan, animal lover and always enjoyed a good cheeseburger. She loved her grandchildren more than anything and was their biggest supporter, whether it was at the soccer or the softball field, school play or concert, she was always there to cheer them on. One of her favorite things to do was share her love of food and cooking with them. They enjoyed watching cooking shows and videos together, looking for new recipes, and making meatballs and gravy, Christmas cookies and her famous brownies.
As a single mother, her strength and courage were an inspiration to her daughter, son and all those who knew her.
She is survived by her loving daughter Jeanine Kozachenko Cular, son-in-law James Cular, their twins, Lily Ann and Aidan James, son Michael Kozachenko and daughter-in-law Gretchen Peterson, along with a large extended family, and many very special friends that she considered family. Affectionately known as Nanee, she was predeceased by her parents, Jean and Leonard Nigrelli and her sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and Richard Hegler.
Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Thursday, September 19,2024 at 10:30am at the Corpus Christi R. C. Church, 11 South Sunset Road, Willingboro, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Thursday morning from 9am - 10:30am at church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of her family.
