Obituary of Todd A. Sehested
Todd Anthony Sehested was born in 1971 in Queens, NY to Gerald and Jaqueline Sehested. He attended MLK elementary school in Willingboro NJ and graduated from Lenape High School in Mount Laurel NJ in 1989. He briefly attended Rowen University, formally known as Glassboro State College. Following in his mother's footsteps, he later attended St. John's University, formerly known as Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens NY., where he received his degree in Radiological Studies.
It was in the early 90s that he met Nyticka Sehested, whom he would later marry in 2004. From this union they were blessed with their beautiful daughter, Chloe Ahmae Sehested in March of 2008.
With a strong work ethic and a dedication to quality care, he worked as an excellent employee in various health care systems in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
When Todd was in his 20s, he was baptized for the first time at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens. In 2010, he joined Calvary Church in Delran NJ. There he re-devoted himself to the Lord and became dedicated to his walk with Christ. At Calvary, he became involved in the youth ministry, where many teenagers benefited from his mentorship. Todd had a generous heart and a charitable spirit. He would always go above and beyond for anyone in need. Whether it was helping a stranger on the street or offering encouraging advice to a friend. Notably, he made it a tradition to take his youngest daughter to feedthe homeless on Christmas morning for many years. Todd also sponsored under privileged children and made frequent donations to a prison ministry.
Todd was a man who had an impeccable eye for organization. In fact, "meticulous" would be the perfect word to describe him. He took pride in dressing well and was obsessed with cars. He was always willing to give you a ride but don't even think about eating in his car! For a short period of time, Todd had his own car detailing business called Top Notch Car Care.
However, he had an adventurous side. Todd was a thrill seeker. He loved everything from rollercoasters and wave runners to motorcycles and four-wheelers.
Todd was extremely intelligent. He loved consuming knowledge through reading. He would often share that God communicated with him through books. His interests also branched out into the entertainment world. He loved everything from true crime TV shows to comedy movies, especially those featuring Will Ferrell. And we can't forget his passion for sports. Todd was a huge fan of his beloved Miami Dolphins. In recent years he became an avid runner and was into health and fitness. But he loved to eat! Todd's favorite food was pizza, and he loved a good apple pie with ice cream, and a Coke.
Todd touched many lives along his journey and especially loved his family. He tried to be the best husband, father, son, brother, and friend he could possibly be. Todd's life and legacy will be cherished and forever remembered by his parents, Gerald and Jaqueline Sehested, His sister Jill Sehested-Shafi, His daughters, Sabrina Brisbrne, Brazil Yates, and Chloe Sehested, his nephew Amir Shafi, and a host of other relatives and friends.
