Obituary of Angela Sciurca

Angela Sciurca, aged 92, born in N. Y. C., only child of Angelo and Santa (Calantoni) Rochelle, on November 1, 1930. Grew up on Long Island, N.Y. Attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in N. Y. C. Met and married her only love, Anthony J. Sciurca in 1949.

She was a Credit Manager for Lane's Dept Store in Valley Stream, Long Island, until she moved to Willingboro, N. J. in 1967. She was a Secretary for the Willingboro Board of Education in the Sidney W. Bookbinder School from 1967 until she retired in 1987. Resided in Willingboro until 1989, when she moved to Holiday City in Williamstown, N.J. She was predeceased by her beloved husband in 1982, and her much loved daughter, Jackie Sciurca in 2011.

She is survived by her two children, Patricia (Sciurca) Davis of Cedar Brook, NJ and Anthony J. Sciurca of Lumberton, NJ. Also survived by her five grandchildren, Thomas Thornton, Courtney Thornton, Ciro Adams, Ashley Flovin and Jillian Urso, and six great grandchildren, Thomas, Tyler, Sydney, Sephina, Olivia, Gwendolyn, Madelyn and Brooklyn.

She loved to create any work of art. She also loved to cook and garden. She adored her children,grandchildren and great grandchildren. It was her great joy to get together with them for large family dinners. She also enjoyed going out with her Lunch Bunch.

She requests that instead of flowers, everyone should put on their dancing shoes and do a little dance for her. Also, plant a flower or a tree in remembrance of her. She has put on her best gown and prettiest shoes to join her love for their next dance. Rejoice for them.
