Obituary of David W. Cole
In loving memory of David W. Cole David W. Cole, 68, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 5, 2023.
David was born in Washington, D.C. on September 4, 1954 to William and Hazel Cole.
He moved around a lot as a child before his family settled down in Willingboro, NJ. It was there he met the love of his life, Debbie, when they attended John F. Kennedy high school. They married in 1980.
David was a former volunteer firefighter and Fire Chief in Burlington Twp and Willingboro, NJ. For more than 20 years, he sacrificed his free time and risked his life to protect the people of his community.
He worked as a Quality Control Engineer at Lockheed Martin for 41 years.
David worked hard all his life to provide for those he loved. He was known for his sense of humor, sometimes questionable taste in music, and his long-time love of the Dallas Cowboys.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Larry and Michael. He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah, and their only child, Megan, as well as many other family members and friends.
If you'd like to pay your respects, a visitation will be held on February 14, 2023 from 9am to 10am at Goes-Scolieri Funeral Home, 212 Veterans Parkway, Willingboro, NJ. (609)871-1000. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you send memorial donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
