I am nurse that often helped the NICU team at SPAH. I had the pleasure of working alongside Gisela on several occasions. Gisela always had her make done so beautifully and I always looked forward to our talks. She spoke so highly of all her children, her husband and her little hot dog Max. When Covid hit, and we had to wear mask, Gisela would pull her mask down for just a second to show me she was still smiling and had her lipstick on. As a nurse and believer of God, Gisela was such a good person and now she’s an angel looking over us all including all our little ones at SPAH. Condolences to her family and who were lucky enough to know such a wonderful and kind hearted woman inside and out. I will miss our talks in the NICU my friend…Rest In Peace my friend. When I found out that Ms Gisela passed away just before Christmas, it broke my heart. I was waiting for her to come back to work after her back injury. Every morning that she worked went to mother baby unit to grab coffee, soda or water. I think, it was more to see all of us and share with us her beautiful smile and great attitude. Many times we talked about our families and our countries and laughed about silly stories. She was always a joy to talk to. I will miss her forever. Now she is in peace.

I didn’t want too think it was her I haven’t seen her in a while but the 3 yrs I did work with her she was amazing beautiful and that smile just lit up any room she was very nice too me I would always help her with a rm because she would let you know I don’t clean fast lol but it was all laughs when we were in the rm cleaning she will be missed I wish I could have seen her just one more time before left the hospital but God has her now you rest hun I will always remember your smile and your lipstick lol sending my condolences too the family ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I was completely heartbroken when I heard this news. Gisela was known in our NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) for having one of the most radiating souls. Not only did she take extreme pride in her work to provide a safe space for our little ones, but she just had this joy and beauty that was infectious. She connected with the parents of the sick little babies and comforted them just by her simple gestures. She was the one that when you came to work and saw her face, it just made you smile. And I can’t forget her sense of humor. It was never a dull moment with her. She spoke frequently of her family and the deep love she had for her husband, kids and her pup. I will truly miss her.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Ms GiGi. She was apart of IMC team at SPAH for several years. She always came to work with a beautiful smile,hair always in place and her red lipstick .She loved interacting with the patients while cleaning their rooms. She took pride in her job. She loved to share stories about her family and her dog. Whenever she made Lasagna she always brought me a piece. I will truly miss this beautiful angel.

This really hurts. Gisela was such a sweet woman. She always had a smile in her face. I looked forward to riding the elevator with her after our meetings, we would be in there cracking up. The last time I seen her she asked me about my lipstick and I told her I would pick one up for her. Rest well Gisela.
