Obituary of Linda A. Wynn
Linda Aileen Johnson Wynn was born on August 16, 1950 in Newark New Jersey to the late John Benjamin and Lillian Jackson. She departed this life on July 2, 2020 peacefully at her home in Willingboro, NJ. She was a devoted wife to Gordon and phenomenal mother to Jonathan. Linda was a productive and devoted member of Christ Baptist Church in Burlington , NJ until she was called home.
Linda received her education at Westside High School in Newark, NJ. She worked for Blue Cross, Blue Shield in Newark for 20 years. She also worked at the Special Services School in Burlington, NJ, where Jonathan attended school for several years. Linda was a strong advocate for her son and was primarily responsible for promoting his talents such as his paintings and organized his showings. She was a major influence in getting Jonathan's skills recognized and published in the local newspapers. Linda was very proud of what her son was able to accomplish through his art work.
As entrepreneurs, Linda and Gordon built a trucking business. Linda was the voice of the transportation Company while Gordon was truck driving to help take care of the family. She and Gordon worked tirelessly to maintain the trucking company that meant so much to them both.
Linda had many hobbies, one was she loved to crochet blankets. She enjoyed looking her best and each time you saw her she was well put together and polished to the tee.
She had a loving spirit and was always welcoming and generous within her friendship. She was also extremely attractive and genuine toward everyone. She loved entertaining and was welcoming to all when you were at her home.
Linda was known to have a smile that would light up a room and melt your heart. She could be a comedian in her spare time. She was always funny and made jokes you had to catch. She was kind to all that knew her.
She battled her sickness with grace. However, God knew best and called his daughter home. Linda was a blessing to many people, a queen to Gordon and a saint to Jonathan. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother Dorlard John Jackson.
Linda leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Gordon, her son, Jonathan Wynn, Stepson Paul Wynn, granddaughter, Jazzmann Gillespie, grandsons Ishma'l and Xavier Wynn, great grandson Kaden Ramos, daughter- n -law J'Wan Wynn. A long list of friends: special friend and cousin Barbara Pollard, god mother to Jonathan Nancy Steal , special friend Winnie Thomas, special friend and sister June Leary, special friends Sarah Barker and Cynthia Brown Gunnell all of whom she considered sisters beyond measure. She had a long list of relatives and friends.
Linda will be dearly missed however her memory lives on in all who loved her.
No Tears in Heaven
There are no tears in heaven
Nor grief of any kind
I leave this final tear drop
To those I've left behind
Though absent from the body
I'm present with the Lord
The joy of my salvation
Is now my full reward
Graveside Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 10,2020, 11am at Lakeview Memorial Park, Rt.130, Cinnaminson, NJ. Relatives and friends please meet directly at the cemetery.
