To the family of Mrs. Ann Holmes. My prayers and sympathy go your way as I join with you in remembering your dear Mother and relative. I was blessed to know her over the years I helped ut at Corpus Christi and just now found out God had called her to heaven. She will be remembered in my prayers and in the Mass I will soon be offered for a couple of my friends who have died recently there in the parish. Were I still living in NJ, I surely would have known earlier of her passing. May God reward her for her life of goodness and love to all who knew her.

Dearest Cousins, Aunt Shirley and Aunt Jeanette, I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Anna's passing. I was very fond of her and her spunk, found her to be quite the sarcastic hoot, and she made me laugh every time I had the fortunate opportunity to be around her. I will never forgot when I was somewhere between like 6-8 maybe(?), that while visiting us in CT we went to a fair and there was the softest teddy bear I had ever picked up. Aunt Anna saw how much I loved it and she insisted on buying it for me. I still have this bear- packed away with other sentimental items I have kept. I went into the box last week when I heard the news and it was right on top of all my other "favorites". Please know that the whole family is in my thoughts. Love to all....Kerri (Coppinger) Malcolm and family

My sister, known to many as Ann, will always be "Anna " to me and the rest of the McDonald Clan. I have so many memories of Anna. I will especially remember her thoughtfulness, her beautiful red hair and her good taste. She also made great cookies!
When Anna was around twenty, and working at Equitable Life insurance Company in New York City, she bought some very nice clothes and shoes. I now confess that when she was at work, and school was out, I used to dress up in them. (Forgive me, Anna….I was ten! ) She had beautiful green suede high heels that had a large rose on the front. They were really big as I tripped around in them on the second floor of 239A Cambridge Avenue. I should have known then that I would never fill her shoes.
Rest in peace big sister. So grateful to have had you with us to share life's journey. There have been sorrows, tears, lots of joy---and many, many laughs.

You loved those shoes! I've enjoyed many stories about you infiltrating Aunt Anna's wardrobe while she was at work.
Also, your mention of cookies reminds me of the story where you and Aunt Shirley sent Aunt Anna a letter in the mail that said it was an emergency (or something like that) on the envelope. Inside you asked her to make you cookies because her cookies were soo good! She made them :).

Approximately 22 years ago my sister and I took a train to Florida. We booked a sleeper with an upper and lower berth. When it was time to sleep I, being the younger said I would sleep in the top berth.
Well there was not a ladder so I had to swing my legs up to try to get up onto the berth. I tried it and kept falling on the floor. Then Ann said she would try to get up there, same thing she landed on the floor each time she tried. At that point we were laughing so much we could barely stand. I guess our laughter was loud as the conductor knocked on the door and asked if he could help us. He then showed us where the steps were to get to the upper berth. Even after settling in our individual beds we were still laughing. Memories!

What a wonderful memory and I can almost visualize the comedy.. Aunt Anna was a warm, caring, woman.. I always remember her laughter.. and she had a great sense of humor. She will be missed .. until we will meet again .

Love these photos, Bernadette and Farivar. We always tried to get in age order, but it didn't always work! We had many laughs trying to accomplish it!
