Obituary of Cheryl A. Evans
I fly to join our ancestors – in whose memory I keep.
a.k.a. – The Dove
Cheryl Ann Evans, our sister, our cousin, our friend was born in Camden, NJ to Jessie Evans and John Keys, on March 10,1945.
After graduating from Camden High School in 1963, Cheryl enrolled in Philadelphia's Pearce Junior College to major in Business. Cheryl would eventually become a tenured employee of the Campbell Soup Co. Not willing to rely solely on a retirement pension, Cheryl enrolled in a State of New Jersey Dept. of Labor Program. Cheryl received her Boiler Engineer License on Feb. 10,1989, becoming one of a very few women in New Jersey to achieve this distinction.
Cheryl Leaves to cherish her memory her brother, "faith" sisters, god-daughter, cousins and friends in Connecticut, North and South Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and North Carolina.
Cheryl Ann Evans inspired us to love one another. By doing so, we honor her memory. As was her request, Cheryl's cremains will be release over the Atlantic Ocean.
Special thanks to Marcella Memory center, for making the last six months of Cheryl's life, comfortable and dignified. Also, Thanks to Goes – Scolieri Funeral Home for making it possible for Cheryl to "fly".
