Dear Burke family:
I wish to convey my sincerest condolences to your entire family. Losing a loved one in death is one is one of the hardest things that anyone will ever have to deal with. There is a great hope held out to us for the future because God promises to bring those we lost back to life by means of a resurrection to a paradise earth, where sickness and death will be no more. I hope this brief message will bring you a measure of comfort in this difficult time.

You were my brother,
And I loved you like no other.
In my heart you'll always be,
I miss you with all of my heart,
I know you're always with me,
You'll be my guide and help me see.
For now, this is my goodbye until we meet again...

My tears will never cease to flow.
I could not bear to see your pain.
We share a past that no one else could understand (my ‘little big brother’.)
Now, I'll never see your face again.
Dan, you were always there through thick and thin.
We bickered and argued like all kids do,
but our love for each other was always there.
I knew I could always rely on you
and that you would never stop caring.
The last time we spoke (almost 3 hours),
I could hear the pain in voice, but we were able to
reminisce about our poignant memories of childhood
and adulthood days. You had me laughing so hard.
It was awesome to go down memory lane.
We grew up and went our separate ways,
sometimes not seeing each other for years,
but I will never forget those days.
I remember them through anguished tears.
Dan, why did this happen to you? God knows best.
You left us way too soon.I am so grateful to have had
you in my life for 53 years.
I know you'll watch over us from Heaven
and that you will be there for me at my life's end.
